My name is Anthony Gonsalvez

M y brothers are Amar and Akhbar. I lost them at a park one day after my mother went blind and my father went on the run. I don't really miss them 'cos my elder brother never let me play with his gun, I bet he grows up to be a cop. The younger one cried all the time. I think he only cares about food. Anyways, I got myself a whole new family now. A "Father" who loves me very much and a mother who's related to me by blood seeing as I donated mine two save her life. Two other guys, a cop and a foodie, gave blood to my mother at the very same time I did. I guess that makes them almost like brothers to me. Also, for some reason my cop-blood-brother likes to beat me up in public.

Oh, by the way, did you know that the hemoglobin in the atmosphere is juxtaposition-ed by the atmospheric pressure in the country?

Where was I? Right, I think I might be in love. Turns out my new love is my father's daughter, i.e. my sister, i.e. INCEST!! But wait, my sister is really adopted. See her father is a dishonorable, good-for-nothing crook. So my father had to teach him a lesson by stealing my sister, I mean my Love, from her parents in the middle of the night, just before going on the run. I know what you're thinking but don't you worry, our kids will turn out just fine. I've got to go lie down now.

Company- Musings & Rants

Okay, so I finally watched Company. While it didn't have me raving, I quite enjoyed the movie. Here are some of my thoughts during (but not necessarily about) the movie-

finally watching company- um, filmfare, chandu/vivek does not seem like a supporting character to me.....Sun Apr 18 00:59:26 via web

Chalo, he'll have been up against Aamir Khan that year so I guess an award for the wrong category is better than losing for the right oneSun Apr 18 01:04:14 via web

JaanEmann- Then & Now

So, this strike has got me watching and re-watching lots of movies, sometimes with positive results.
Jaan-E-Mann

I first saw JaanEmann about 2 years ago. It was one of the first movies seen in my bollywood rediscovery period. I didn't quite like it at the time, couldn't really pinpoint why. The initial wannabe-ness of the characters, maybe?

Nahin!!!

Oh my God, Chadni Chowk to China has got to be a hoax! You got me Ashton, you may come out now!

Lost and Found

The first time I saw Rab ne, I watched it without subtitles. Now, my hindi is not quite to the point where I can translate each scene line for line, so i was able to convince myself that Tanni must have recognised her husband (or at least the semblance) at some point before the climax. I (as well as the rest of the world) just happened to blink and miss it. Re-watching it with subtitles, I kept looking for that missing scene. Unable to find it, I decided to insert it myself.
